Subject to the review and approval by the prison mailroom staff, letters become available for the inmates to log into the tablets and kiosks to receive and reply to their messages using TextBehind Digital Mail Interface.

Printed Mail - Delivering inmate mail printed on-site by prison mailroom staff:
Subject to the review and approval by the prison mailroom staff, letters become available for the correctional mailroom staff for printing on-site. Right after the printed mail is distributed to the inmate population the same day.

Shipping by postal service
All letters printed and shipped by TextBehind nationwide to virtually any prison facility are delivered to the prisons by couriers such as the USPS or FedEx as their standard process. After the shipments, TextBehind has no control over the process. The delivery of your letters depending on couriers and prison staff taking necessary action on time on their respective ends.

USPS® First-Class shipping time frame:
After TextBehind ships your letters within 24 hours of your order Monday through Friday, the delivery of letter(s) is performed by the U.S. Postal Service in approximately 2 to 4 business days depending on where the correctional facility is located in the United States. This estimate is based on general understanding and it is not guaranteed by TextBehind.

IMPORTANT NOTE:
Some correctional facilities may require all their inmate mail to be shipped to their 3rd party mail management contractor for additional processing before the mail is delivered to the actual correctional institution by their contracted vendor. In such cases, additional or unexpected delays can be expected but they are not controlled by TextBehind.
