2.2 - How Is My Communication Processed?

TextBehind® completes service by processing and shipping all your orders within 24 hours Monday through Friday. Any leftover orders from one day are taken care of on the following business day. Weekend orders are processed on Monday.

Mail delivery to the partnered facilities may either be shipped via Priority Mail, FedEx Overnight or even electronically delivered to be printed at the correctional facility by the prison staff. Standard letters to non-contracted institutions are shipped via USPS® First-Class mail or ground shipping.

We may not give you the exact time your loved one will receive your letter for security purposes. We appreciate your patience and understanding.

The detailed process has been described in our Help Center under topic 8.1 - Sending Physical Letters to TextBehind

USPS® First-Class shipping time frame:

After TextBehind ships, your letters within 24 hours of your order Monday through Friday, the delivery of letter(s) is performed by the U.S. Postal Service in approximately 2 to 4 business days depending on where the correctional facility is located in the United States. This estimate is based on a general understanding and it is not guaranteed by TextBehind.

IMPORTANT NOTE:

Some correctional facilities may require all their inmate mail to be shipped to a 3rd party mail management contractor for additional processing before the mail is delivered to the actual correctional institution by their contracted vendor. In such cases, additional or unexpected delays can occur but they are not controlled by TextBehind.
