What Is TextBehind?

1.5 - How Do I Pay

TextBehind does not allow adding money to your account as you would fund your phone account for a correctional facility. You can pay for TextBehind communication services in two ways that are divided by transaction type:

Basic Communication Orders - Paid Using Discount Deal Credits:

These order types include Text Letter, TextCard, and Doodles4Kids.

Document Orders - Paid Using Credit/Debit Cards:

These orders require payment using a standard credit or debit card. The cost of these orders is calculated based on the total number of pages in all documents added to your order, and any other services that you add on. Discount Deal credits cannot be used for General Documents, Mass Communications, or Privileged Mail Document orders even though the system may show the number of credits (for information purposes only) along with the price breakdown for such Orders.

To purchase a Discount Deal, please go to the main menu for the Pricing and Discount (or Discount Deals) section. You can pay using an existing payment method in your account such as a Credit /Debit Card, or add a new one when purchasing.

Convenience Fee Disclosure:

All payments made on the TextBehind website and mobile apps using any credit/debit card are subject to a 4.00% Convenience Fee charged in addition to the Total Amount of the transaction.

Balance Check and Refunds:

Please go to MY ACCOUNT and the Account Summary tab to check your credit balance. If a refund cannot be made to your original payment method, the balance may be added to your account by the system automatically in the form of money or message credits.

What is a Credit:

A credit (think of a stamp for example) allows you to submit one order transaction with its default product specification such as a Text Letter or a TextCard with their allocated volume of text and the number of photos. If you add more content to your order such as additional photos or add-on text, additional credits will be deducted from your balance or, the system will ask you to pay using your credit or debit card instead. Each transaction is one credit at a minimum.

PLEASE NOTE:

Regardless of the contractual relationship between TextBehind and the correctional facility, the method by which you will create a letter and submit the order does not change. In certain cases, you may be asked to provide your prepaid account credentials to pay for a transaction instead of credit, debit card, or existing credits. If you have purchased credits by mistake, you can go to Transaction History and request a refund. The speed by which your letter is delivered to your loved one depends on the mail delivery service model applied to the destination correctional facility.

Chargeback Penalty:

TextBehind support team is available to resolve any transactional issues for you upon request. If you made a wrong transaction or would like to request a refund for unused applicable credits, please notify TextBehind first to allow us the opportunity to resolve the issue within a reasonable time.

When you notify your bank and deny the transaction you made yourself in the first place, they issue a chargeback that imposes additional fees and may result in a bad rating on your account. As a result, TextBehind may terminate your account permanently until applicable fees are recovered. Filing an unjustified chargeback is considered fraud and TextBehind takes that process very seriously.

TextBehind practices fair business and is always available to help out customers based on compassion and courtesy.
