Sending Physical Letters

Sending physical letters to TextBehind

TextBehind is servicing various correctional facilities across the United States as a dedicated mail management company. In this capacility we become an off-site physical mail reception and processing location where all your regular family and friends mail needs to be sent to. TextBehind does not charge sender any additional cost for processing physical letters on behalf of the correctional facility. However we do encourage that if you prefer a more convenient, faster and more affordable method of communicating with an inmate, you should sign up with TextBehind and create your letters electronically. 

To send physical letters, you must address your letters as follows:

FULL NAME – ID NUMBER (This is the name and ID number of the inmate)
CORRECTIONAL INSTITUTION NAME
P.O. BOX 247
PHOENIX, MD 21131


Therefore, an example of correct address format will be:
 

                                                   
  FROM:   [STAMP]
  Kelly Smith
123 Main St
Silver Spring, MD 20902
 
    TO:
    John Doe Smith - # 123456
Correctional Institution Name (do not abbreviate)
P.O. Box 247
Phoenix, MD 21131
     


IMPORTANT:
Any letters with incorrect or incomplete information will be rejected and sent back to the sender. 

Please note that after TextBehind processing, original physical mail is shredded and cannot be recovered after 30 days of receipt. If you've sent any mail with important original documents or other articles with sentimental value such as drawings and artwork, please notify us as soon as possible at info@textbehind.com and request original by mail. Shipping and service fee will apply.
