Mail Delivery

How do I know if my loved one received my letter

For most of our contracted facilities, all processed letters are delivered to the prison staff electronically using our portal within 24 hours Monday through Friday. The prison staff begin reviewing letters and upon approval of your communication by the staff, the letters are printed. At this point the status of your transaction will change to PROCESSED.

Only the prison staff can distribute the mail to the inmates. However, TextBehind cannot know about letter delivery status by the staff.

For all other facilities nationwide where TextBehind ships your mail using USPS First-Class Mail, our information about the status of your letter delivery is extremely limited. Once the letters are printed and shipped, the service by TextBehind is complete. The status if your transaction will also change to PROCESSED at the time of shipping.

Now, only for the sake of your knowledge, after the letter is delivered to the prison staff by the postal service, it is entirely in the hands of the prison staff to review, approve and distribute mail to the applicable inmates.
